AP Processor

Located in Ballston Spa NY, WM Schultz Construction is a leader in highly technical civil construction projects, and we are looking for the RIGHT individual to join our growing team.

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate processing of invoices through SAGE 300 (Timberline & TimberScan paperless). While experience in these or related systems is a plus, the RIGHT team member will be a computer-savvy individual that possesses the ability to learn technology quickly with an excellent base knowledge in the AP Process including but not limited to invoice processing, coding, routing/approval, posting, and payment. They will have the ability to recognize errors, research related information, and resolve the problem.

We would like the individual to have several years of experience with AP or construction administrative work. A good understanding of sales/use tax is always helpful as is proficiency with MS Office. Proven adaptability to change and excellent communication skills are a necessary part of our team environment here at WM Schultz.

In addition to the above, the RIGHT individual will have a positive attitude, be extremely dependable, and have the ability to remain organized in a time sensitive environment. Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher is preferred, but must hold a High School diploma or GED

Assistant Estimator

Assistant Estimator

Schultz Construction is seeking Assistant Estimators experienced in heavy civil construction; specifically structural concrete, water and wastewater treatment, utility, highway and site work.

The successful candidates must be self-motivated and work well in an organization that is professional and goal oriented.  This is a team-oriented position assisting estimators with all administrative bid work on assigned projects.

Job Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be a self-starter and understand deadlines
  • Must have good phone and excellent people skills
  • Knowledge of civil construction terminology preferred
  • Computer literacy and aptitude in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, well organized, tidiness, the ability to multi-task extremely well and prioritize
  • Experience reading and interpreting plans and specs
  • Accurate quantity takeoffs and solicitation of subcontractor and vendor proposals
  • Subcontractor and vendor scope review for conformance to project requirements
  • Ability to maintain high job standards and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing
  • Must be US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States

Heavy Equipment Operator

Schultz Construction is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for projects located throughout New York and Massachusetts to join our team! The successful candidate must have experience with deep excavations, working around utilities, working in industrial facilities. Use of GPS equipment is preferred but not required. Opportunities are available for both private and municipal projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safe operation of heavy equipment tasks as directed
  • Wear all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Record hour meter readings
  • Maintain a clean cab
  • Report Safety Malfunctions
  • Proper maintenance and security of equipment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At minimum, must have five (5) years of relevant heavy equipment operation experience
  • Must be available to travel within the company’s target market area
  • Must be proficient with various types of construction equipment (i.e. loader, excavator, bulldozer, etc.)
  • Must be willing and able to complete Schultz’s Equipment Operator Certification Program
  • Must have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 Hour Certification
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • A clean, valid driver’s license is required.
