W.M. Schultz Construction, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to aide our project management team in daily activities, assist our superintendents & foreman in building the job, and provide bid support to our in-house estimating team. This role will be responsible for participating in work planning and scheduling, procuring company equipment to complete project tasks, developing takeoffs, ordering materials, coordinating subcontractor work, developing RFIs, forecasting labor needs, managing workforce productivity, tracking job costs and more!
Schultz is a leading heavy civil contractor headquartered in Saratoga County, NY. We specialize in construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, structural concrete, developmental infrastructure, utility, site, and highway work – the actual project type can vary as long as the work is complex & demanding! The “right” person for this job will be enthused by doing a different type of project each season.
This role is intended to be a steppingstone into a Superintendent or Project Management position. It will require fieldwork and/or working from a field office, as well as time spent working from the corporate office. Travel to job site(s) within a 1–2-hour radius of Albany will be required. A company vehicle will be made available for business-related travel.
