Schultz Construction had an integral role in resolving one of the highest airport safety issues in the country as identified the Federal Aviation Administration.  The iconic checkerboard water tank, located near I-87 in Latham, NY was a runway obstruction for the Albany County Airport.

Schultz removed the tank and at an alternate location constructed a new 2.5 million welded steel water storage tank with a concrete foundation.  Work also included a new water booster pumping station building with new booster pumps, flanged piping and associated site work.

Location: Latham, NY
