The Stony Creek Reservoir is a raw water source for the Town of Colonie’s thousands of residents. Schultz was selected by the Town to perform repairs to a deteriorated footbridge bridge structure and the outlet structure at this significant water reservoir. Included among the many challenges of the project was the winter conditions and maintaining the ice to allow access from a working barge in the water. The work involved structural lifting of the existing footbridge, miscellaneous concrete repairs to support piers to replace deteriorated concrete, replacement of the footbridge bearings, installation of galvanic anodes, and miscellaneous fencing installations.
