What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager at Schultz Construction, you’ll be at the helm of multiple dynamic projects, guiding them from concept to completion with the support of a dedicated team of Project Engineers. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Manage Project Execution: Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring everything from materials procurement to equipment management is executed flawlessly.
- Inspire and Mentor: Lead, train, and empower a team of Project Engineers, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
- Drive Success: Coordinate and lead project teams, including external contractors and subcontractors, Project Engineers and field crews, to ensure that all project milestones are met with precision and on time.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Be the face of the project, interacting with clients, engineers, and government agencies to drive progress and overcome any construction-related challenges.
- Ensure Excellence: Conduct site visits and inspections, ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Innovate and Improve: Continuously monitor and analyze ongoing and completed projects to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s not just experienced but passionate about shaping the future of construction. Here’s what we’re after:
- Experience: You’ve spent 5+ years as a Project Manager in construction or a related field, honing your skills and making an impact. Experience managing heavy civil, infrastructure, utility, site development, or transportation construction projects preferred.
- Technical Savvy: You have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, MS Excel, and construction management software, with the ability to manage schedules, track project performance, review plans and specifications, and coordinate project documentation efficiently.
- Estimating Expertise: You have a proven ability to develop accurate project estimates and identify value-engineering opportunities to support successful project execution.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You have a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the initiative to identify opportunities, drive innovation, and take ownership of project success.
- Leadership: You’re driven to lead and mentor, guiding Project Engineers to reach their full potential.
- Detail-Oriented: Your attention to detail is unmatched, and you take pride in meticulously managing projects with numerous moving parts.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field sets you apart.
